GHOST RIDER!!!
Now if you have ever been in my (current) home you will know what a Ghost Rider fan boy I am, it was my second love after Star Wars as a child, GR merchandise is hidden all over my bedroom (to my girlfriend's annoyance at times :P). So to the point: Ghost Rider (movie) has had some of it's opening days changed so now instead of having to wait until March to see it (I've been waiting expectantly for about three years) it's opening Feb.15th here *does a little dance*. I'll be seeing it that day even if I have to spill blood (bad comic related pun intended) =) Anyone who might want to see it with me (cause I'll be going alone otherwise) should drop my a line. This will be only the second movie I will have seen alone, the other one being the third LotRs...cause I saw it in it's last week at the cinema after everyone I knew (who might have been interested) had seen it... For those who live elsewhere: Click HERE for opening dates, it will open in a new window. |

Rubik's Lament Configuration

In case you aren't familiar with the Lament Configuration Click here (Hellraiser movie Wiki entry) and here (Lemarchand's box wiki entry).
Upon first seeing the movie Hellraiser (as a child of 11) I (at first) thought the Lament Congiguration was some kind of Rubik's cube...after finding out it wasn't I wondered why no one had either cashed in on this idea or at least made one themselves. Years later someone did...but I don't think much of the ones I've seen... So I finally got around to making my own, I've now had 4 attempts (in total) the above being the second attempt that I don't think I can really improve on. I've had about a dozen people offer me money for the first attempt (that I didn't think was very good, click here for pics), so I turned them down. I've since had a change of heart...
So you know what you are getting: Rubik's cube knock off (AU$10), spray painted metalic gold (AU$11.50) then clear adhesive (printable) labels applied (with Lament pattern AU$8.99) and finally spray on Satin finish lacquer (AU$9.95). Takes about 2 hours (not including drying time) to make.
If anyone wants one it will cost you AU$55 (or AU$40 for the cheaper version which is made useing a $2 Rubik's cube knock off)=)
Comments will be appreiciated, if you would like to buy one drop me a comment (preferably including your MSN) :)
I'd rather not deal with postage (but I will) so it's better if you can meet me in the city (Brisbane) to get your Lament Configuration. If you want one mailed it will cost you an extra AU$5 + P&H. You will need to leave me your email (so I can send you a paypal bill) and mailing address. |

"Rubik's" Lament Configuration
Years ago when I first saw Hellraiser I thought that the Lament Configuration was some kind of freaky Rubik's cube...after realizing it wasn't (I was a child, give me a break) I wondered if someone would make one that is...eventually someone did (I found out after I had made mine). Here's my attempt:

Cost me about AU$4.20 to make and about an hour and a half (not including lacquer and glue drying time). Not as happy with it as I could have been, think I'll have another go later with some kind of reflective material...I guess it turned out OK though. Note it's about 2/3 the size of the one in the movies. |

Yoinked from dragarnuss MAIM! BASH! BLUDGEON! CRUSH! This military death-droid doesn't take any shit. Got a problem? Violence is the solution. Parking ticket? Kill them. Post's late? Bear trap. Cold pizza? Tactical warhead. You're not sure if people respect or simply fear you, but if they get in your way, they're toast. What's your malfunction?

What Fantasy Archetype Are you? yoinked from siouxsyn. | What Fantasy Archetype Are you? | The Mentor You are the prestigous Mentor! You're akin to Gandalf (Lord of The Rings), Merlin (ARthurian Legend), Obi Wan Kenobi (Star Wars), Aslan (Narnia), Door (Neverwhere), Dumbledore (Harry Potter) and Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander (Wizard's First Rule). You are wise and knowing, and know that there is not much time left for the Unlikely Hero to defeat The Totally Wicked Villain. Only you know the true motives and past of The Villain, so it's up to you to teach the Unlikely Hero all he has to know. Be careful as you'll invariably regret not telling The Unlikely Hero things sooner rather than later. You like teaching and often care very much for others. | | Take The Quiz Now! | Quizzes by myYearbook.com | |

Yoinked from twitchfetish
You are The TowerAmbition, fighting, war, courage. Destruction, danger, fall, ruin. The Tower represents war, destruction, but also spiritual renewal. Plans are disrupted. Your views and ideas will change as a result. The Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. The Tower stands for "false concepts and institutions that we take for real." You have been shaken up; blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to see a truth that one refuses to see. Or to bring down beliefs that are so well constructed. What's most important to remember is that the tearing down of this structure, however painful, makes room for something new to be built. What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out. |
